Danny Swalve (Remsen, Iowa) has signed letters of intent to continue his football and baseball careers at Northwestern College next fall.
The son of Gary and Naomi, Swalve is a 5’10”, 190-pound quarterback, running back and defensive back from Remsen-Union High School. A two-time all-district player, he helped lead his team to a 6-3 record last year. A member of the National Honor Society, Swalve plans to major in physical education at Northwestern.
“Danny has excellent potential as a college football player,” commented Head Coach Orv Otten. “He is athletic and could play a number of different positions for our team next season.”
Swalve earned four letters as a utility player for Remsen-Union. He batted .310 with four doubles and two triples as a junior. Swalve posted a 1-1 record on the mound and struck out 14 batters in 20 innings of work last year. He has earned all-conference honors the past two seasons.
