Profile

Professor Shin joined Northwestern's art department as an assistant professor and resident expert in the 3D studio after completing a Master of Fine Arts degree in studio art at the University of Texas. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in craft and material studies from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.F.A. in industrial design from Cho-Sun University in South Korea. As an artist, she has been participating in various group and solo exhibitions. She was a resident artist at the Eastside International Artist-In-Residence Program in Los Angeles, CA, the Ox-Bow residency program through the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Rochester Folk Art Guild in Middlesex, N.Y.
