Netherlands Bike Tour
- Blooming Tulips Bike Tour
- April 23-May 3, 2015
- $2,600 per person
- Led by Dr. James Kennedy '84, University of Amsterdam
Tour the Netherlands while the tulips are blooming. You'll bike through historic cities like The Hague, Leiden, Haarlem, Amsterdam and Utrecht; tour Europe's largest harbor at Rotterdam; and visit the impressive windmills at Kinderdijk. You'll pedal mostly on quiet country roads and separate biking paths, pausing at windmills and mansions, farms and parks, historical cities and quaint country villages. In the evenings, there will be lectures on Dutch history, concerts, socializing and more sight-seeing. Northwestern's 8th alumni tour in the Netherlands will spoil you with gourmet food and memorable cultural experiences.
The cost for the tour covers transportation to and from the airport; your hotels, meals, beverages and snacks; tickets and entrance fees for museums, ferries and other sights and excursions; baggage transport while you bike; and a tour guide who is as entertaining as he is knowledgeable about the Netherlands. If you would like to receive information or sign up for the Netherlands Bike Tour next April, contact Alumni Director Mark Bloemendaal.
