Individual visits
If one of Northwestern’s visitation days doesn’t fit your schedule—or if you prefer something specifically tailored for you and your interests—sign up for your own individual campus visit. Registration is required three business days before your visit. That way we can schedule you with the people you’ll want to see.
Who might that be? Well, perhaps a professor from a specific field of study, a music or theatre director, or the coach of the sport you play. And if you’re undecided about a major, you can meet with a counselor in our Career Development Center who works with undeclared students.
Other options for your visit include:
- A campus tour
- Lunch or dinner for you and your guests, compliments of Northwestern College
- Time with an admissions representative
- An opportunity to attend a class
- Scholarship auditions
- Chapel
Most individual campus visits average three hours. If you’d like to stay overnight in a residence hall with one of the college’s student ambassadors, plan on arriving between 7:30 and 10 p.m.
Weekend visits
If you prefer to come on a weekend, we can schedule your visit for Saturday morning and provide you with a campus tour and a meeting with an admissions counselor. Because it's the weekend, however, your campus visit won't include the opportunity to attend classes or chapel or to visit with professors.
Summer visits
Saturday visits aren't offered during the summer, from May 10 through Aug. 9, but will resume on Aug. 16. Summer campus visits during the week, Monday through Friday, will include a campus tour, time with your admissions counselor and—if it can be arranged—a meeting with a professor or coach.
