Important financial aid information for home-schooled applicants
In order to be considered for need-based scholarships and financial aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application may be filed any time after January 1; our priority deadline for certain kinds of funding is April 1.
Northwestern also provides financial aid that is merit-based. You may be eligible for scholarships and grants based on your academic ability or talent in music, theatre, art or athletics. While the FAFSA isn’t required for these awards, you will need to contact the appropriate department.
For more information about financial aid and scholarships for entering students, please visit our financial aid website.
