Accommodations for
learning disabilities
Students with documented learning disabilities will have an equal opportunity to succeed academically at Northwestern with individually designed learning accommodations. Students with learning disabilities should contact Patti Thayer, director of academic support, to verify their disabilities and arrange appropriate learning accommodations.
Learning Assistance Software
Northwestern College has recently purchased Freedom Scientific's WYNN Reader software for use on our campus. This software package assists students with reading comprehension of Word documents, Adobe PDF files, and web pages. I will provide a clean, consitant interface for reading, and has text-to-speech capabilities. This can be installed on any NWC or personal computer connected to our campus network (but note it is limited to run only on campus) for use by students at NWC.
