Student-initiated majors
Occasionally students are interested in pursuing in-depth study in a unique major that draws from different areas of Northwestern’s curriculum. A student-initiated major allows students to do that in collaboration with their faculty adviser and with the approval of the Academic Affairs Committee.
Recent student-initiated majors include animal sciences, cultural studies, international communications, juvenile studies, public relations, therapeutic arts, and visual business advertising.
