Northwestern Teaching Excellence Award recipients
Each spring at Honors Convocation, Northwestern College presents the $1,500 Northwestern Teaching Excellence Award to an outstanding professor who has been nominated by students.
The award is sponsored by the Alumni Association and the Student Government Association (SGA). A selection committee composed of student leaders and the past two award winners pares the nominees to three finalists. Factors considered in the decision-making process include the number of nominations in relation to candidates’ teaching loads, quality of nominations, professional development, research and publications, institutional service and student course evaluations.
