“Northwestern believes that wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord, that truth basks in the light of Jesus Christ, and that we are charged with equipping our students to go out and make this a better world in his image. It makes me want to get here early and stay late.”

A former VISTA volunteer and Alaskan schoolteacher, John Greller has been an advancement professional in the Reformed Church in America for over 25 years, raising support for Hope College and Words of HOPE radio ministry before coming to Northwestern. He oversees alumni, parent and church relations and all of the college’s fund-raising efforts, which have resulted in the renovation or construction of Van Peursem Hall, the DeWitt Dining Center, the Bultman Center, Zwemer Hall, the Korver Visual Arts Center, the DeWitt Theatre Arts Center and De Valois Stadium/Korver Field. Currently he is leading the Imagine Campaign for a new learning commons/library, Northwestern’s largest fund-raising effort to date.

Greller has a bachelor’s degree in religion from Kenyon College and a master’s in education from Oberlin College. He is a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
