Doug Beukelman was the president of Demco Manufacturing in Boyden, Iowa, before becoming Northwestern’s vice president for financial affairs. He oversees Northwestern’s business office, including managing the college’s $41 million endowment. Beukelman also is responsible for the college’s human resources office, maintenance and housekeeping services, campus communications, the bookstore and the post office. He has project-managed the construction of the Korver Visual Arts Center, DeWitt Theatre Arts Center and two student apartment buildings.
Beukelman has a B.A. in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and earned his C.P.A. in 1977. His professional memberships include the National Association of College and University Business Officers and the Association of Business Administrators of Christian Colleges.
